Saint Sebastian is the Patron Saint of athletes and soldiers. Sebastian joined the Roman army to be of service to the martyrs without arousing suspicion. Emperor Diocletian commanded archers to put him to death. Sebastian's body was pierced with arrows, and he was left for dead.
