Matthew the Apostle
Saint Matthew the Apostle is the patron saint of bankers, accountants, bookkeepers and tax collectors. Matthew was a tax collector from Galilee working in Capernaum until Jesus made a simple request of him to "Follow me" and he dropped everything and did. He went on to be an apostle, write the first Gospel and be one of the first evangelist up until his death as a martyr. His feast day is September 21st.
