Francis de Sales

Saint Francis de Sales is the patron saint of teachers, authors, journalists, writers and the deaf. Francis de Sales was born in a noble family near Geneva Switzerland where his father wanted him to become a lawyer and eventually a politician. He however had other plans and became a priest and then a Bishop and later declared a Doctor of the Church. During his short life, he was a voracious writer who wrote pamphlets for evangelizing, letters for spiritual direction and books on the spiritual life and the universal call to holiness. His feast day is January 24th. Buy a pendant or add on a chain to make it a necklace. Get St. Francis de Sales medals in either sterling silver, gold-filled or 14kt solid gold all made in the USA and with lifetime guarantees.
